(hereinafter referred to as "the joint venture") is a joint venture established by BYD Auto, a leader in China's EV industry, and Daimler AG, one of the biggest producers of premium cars and the world's biggest manufacturer of commercial vehicles with a global reach. The joint venture is headquartered in Shenzhen, China.
The joint venture launched China's first auto brand dedicated exclusively to new energy vehicles: DENZA. It concentrates on the R&D in new energy automotive technologies, specializes in producing high-quality, eco-friendly new energy vehicles that are safe and convenient to use, and strives to be the most successful manufacturer, and promoter, of alternative-fuel vehicles in China.
BYD is a world-leader in battery and new energy powertrain technology, and Daimler is renowned for its vehicle-building experience. The joint venture effectively integrates resources from the two sides in automotive technology, craftsmanship, and design. All employees of the joint venture should strictly comply with national and international laws and regulations and our internal rules but particularly rigorously conduct the integrity and ethics standards of the joint venture.
The Compliance program of joint venture builds a strong foundation for our employees and business partners. Through various prevention and countermeasures, including Compliance trainings, internal policies, extensive business partners Due Diligence process and ongoing risk assessment, etc., the joint venture ensure our Compliance work consistent with integrity and ethics standards.
What’s more, the joint venture has launched Integrity Hotline and the Whistle-blowing Email/Link as an independent external contact function for all employees and business partners. Any potential violations of laws or internal policy which can cause damage to the company including but not limited to commercial bribery, fraud, antitrust and theft could be reported through the hotline and email.
The joint venture shall keep confidential of reporters from Integrity Hotline and the Whistle-blowing Email. Anyone that leaks the reporters’ information or retaliates against reporters shall be given a sanction in all seriousness according to law.
